Greetings!!
It is a pleasure to inform you that research at Adsul’s Technical Campus, Chas, Ahilyanagar, has grown significantly in last few years. We believe that research is the foundation for innovation, creativity, excellence, new solutions and societal advancement. We provide substantial research opportunities to our faculty members and undergraduate students, giving them invaluable hands-on experience that extends beyond the usual classroom environment and improves their whole educational journey.
Research & Development activities help the students and Staff to grow technical skills as well as the soft skills in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Such skills are very much required for students in any future career they pursue – in the industry, academics or entrepreneurship.
Research and Development activities include Research paper publications, Innovation Contests, establishing start-up companies, acquiring Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Patents, collaborative research / product development with industry, research projects with external funding from reputed organizations. With the educational system going through many developments like adoption of Outcome Based Education (OBE), accreditation by NAAC / NBA, Ranking by NIRF, etc, the emphasize in Research & Development has been increasing continuously.We emphasized the following points to foster the Research and Development initiatives in the institute:
We aim to create an environment that nourishes students’ and faculty’s intellectual growth, encouraging questioning and stimulating the desire to explore.
We actively promote interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty members and students within our institution and collaboration with external organizations. This approach enables us to address complex, real-world challenges, resulting in the publication of the work in leading journals and patenting our ideas.
Through mentorship and hands-on experiences, we empower our students with the skills and mind set to become the next generation of researchers and innovators.
Dean R & D is a senior position in the institute and has to report the Principal regarding the R & D activities in the Institute.
Following are the Roles and Responsibilities of the Dean Research and Development
- Develop and establish a policy to promote research culture in the Institute.
- Prepare annual R &D plan for research activities including externally funded projects and institute funded projects in the beginning of academic year.
- Identify opportunities for externally funded R&D projects from national and international organizations, ask eligible department/faculties to apply for funding and follow up with the funding agencies, for securing sanction of
- Form a research committee composed of distinguished faculty members having research awareness/skill and, members from industry/R&D organizations to address the issues of
- Inspire and enhance the research ability and potential among the students, having the aptitude for innovative research through their seminars and projects.
- Inspire and motivate the faculties for generating the funds/revenue by various
- Co-ordinate for setting of yearly targets for research publications and patents by the department faculty in national, international journals, national, and international conferences, regular monitor of the progress, and measures for achievement of targets.
- Inspire and motivate the faculties and students for filling patents, product development.
- Organize national and international conferences with the participation of eminent scientists/technologists in specialized/emerging areas.
- Develop and establish policies for starting research awards, and for giving incentives to faculty for receiving State, National and International recognition for their research contributions.
R & D Policy
Adsul’s Technical Campus, aims to enhance academic and research excellence, foster innovation and elevate NIRF ranking. This policy introduces incentives to drive faculty towards impactful research and educational contributions. Ambitious targets for publications, patents and research proposals will cultivate a culture of innovation, benefiting faculty and students.
